Startco Engineering is a recognized leader in ground-fault protection products and custom power distribution centers that are used in mining and other heavy industries. Startco’s products protect equipment from damage and improve safety for workers, caused by ground-fault and other electrical incidents. Littelfuse acquired Startco Engineering of Saskatoon, Canada, in 2008.
Products
The Startco line of protection relays includes ground-fault relays, neutral-grounding-resistor monitors, motor and feeder protection relays and ground-check monitors. The company’s line of custom electrical products includes power distribution centers, mining-machine controls, ground-fault panels, neutral-grounding-resistor packages and solid-state starters.

The acquisition provided a strong base for further expansion in industrial protection and strengthened our position within the growing mining industry.
