Reflecting on the Highlights of 2016
2016 was a year of global growth. From the advancement of our corporate capabilities around the world to growing the Littelfuse product portfolio, 2016 was a upbeat year. We even hit two major milestones this year. First, Littelfuse now has over 10,000 employees. Second, our annual sales exceeded one billion dollars.
Here are a few of the other accomplishments we had in 2016 thanks to the hard work of our employees and our many great customers.
Littelfuse Acquired Circuit Protection Business from TE Connectivity
Littelfuse acquired the circuit protection business of TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) for $350 million in cash. The business segment has a leading position in polymer-based resettable circuit protection devices with a strong global presence in the automotive, battery, industrial, communications and mobile computing markets.

Littelfuse Acquires Menber's
Littelfuse acquired Menber's S.p.A, headquartered in Legnago, Italy. Menber's is a manufacturer of Commercial Vehicle Power and Connection Systems. The Italian company specializes in the design, manufacturing, and selling of:
- manual and electrical battery switches
- trailer connectors
- commercial vehicle coils and converters

Littelfuse Wins Supplier in Excellence Training Award from NAED
In June, the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) awarded Littelfuse University the Supplier in Excellence Training Award. Our newly designed training platform provides distributors with additional product information, tools, and resources to help distributors grow their business.
The new site platform, launched June 2015, had 3,700 course completions in the first six months - a 60% increase year over year.

Littelfuse Completes Acquisition of Select Product Portfolio from On Semiconductor
The acquisition of On Semiconductor expanded the Littelfuse power semiconductor portfolio and presence in automotive electronics market.
The product portfolio includes:
- transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes
- switching thyristors
- insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT)

AME Announces the 2016 Excellence Award Recipients
The Association for Manufacturing Excellence recognizes manufacturing plants that have demonstrated excellence in manufacturing and business. For the first time ever, they awarded the AME Excellence Award to a plant outside of North America. Our Wuxi, China plant won the award thanks to a comprehensive safety program that includes monthly safety reviews.

Littelfuse Arc-Flash Relay Wins 2016 Product of the Year Award
The Littelfuse AF0500 Arc-Flash Relay protects workers and equipment from arc-flash events.
Our AF0500 Arc-Flash Relay has been chosen as one of the best new products by Consulting-Specifying Engineer for their 2016 Product of the Year program.

Littelfuse Announces CEO Succession
Our Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Gordon Hunter, transitioned to the role of Executive Chairman, effective January 1, 2017. Dave Heinzmann, former Chief Operating Officer, assumed the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at that time. He also joined the company's board of directors, bringing the size of the board to eight members.

Littelfuse Joins the S&P MidCap 400
Due to the rapid growth of the company in 2016, Littelfuse was promoted by Standards & Poor’s from the S&P SmallCap 600 to the S&P MidCap 400.

Littelfuse Exceeds $1 Billion in Revenue
For the first time in Littelfuse history, annual sales surpassed $1-billion-dollar. This milestone was announced in our Analyst Day presentation in December. The estimated 2016 sales were $1.047 Billion. Previous year sales were $868 Million.
