Littelfuse Introduces 506 Series 6.3x32mm-Size 600VDC Fuses

New high-performance fuse is smaller alternative to Midget fuses in high-power DC applications

2011-06-01 09:00:00

CHICAGO, IL, June 1, 2011 – Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:LFUS), today introduced its new 506 Series of 6.3x32mm ceramic-body fast-acting cartridge fuses, designed to protect high-power DC applications. With its high performance 600VDC interrupting rating in a compact 6.3x32mm package, the 506 Series provides robust circuit protection in a smaller package and is a useful alternative to existing high-power DC Midget fuses.

By introducing the 506 Series fuses, Littelfuse supports the trend toward higher energy designs in a smaller footprint. The high interrupting capacity and fast response of these fuses ensures that they will open safely to protect equipment under very high fault-current conditions.

The 506 Series fuses are available in ampere ratings from 15A to 20A. The 506 Series is available in cartridge version and is 100 percent lead-free and compliant with RoHS requirements. Also it is cURus recognized under the component programs of the Underwriters Laboratories.

Littelfuse, the leader in fuse technology, provides a comprehensive range of products and solutions that provide overcurrent protection for any electronic application. With 80 years of experience in building and supplying overcurrent protection products, Littelfuse is dedicated to providing application expertise and support that meets customers’ needs.
