Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:LFUS) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Shock-Block™, Inc, and its K-Tec™ branded line of ground-fault protection products. The company, which operates a facility in Dallas, Texas, is a leading supplier of specialty high-current ground-fault protection devices for use in a wide variety of industrial applications.
"Shock-Block™'s line of K-Tec™ branded ground-fault protection devices is an excellent fit for Littelfuse and provides a strong base for further expansion of our electrical business,” said Dal Ferbert, Vice President and General Manager of the Littelfuse POWR-Gard Electrical Business Unit. “The acquisition adds ground-fault protection relays and industrial ground-fault circuit interrupters to our product line and broadens our capabilities in helping industrial customers reduce electrical hazards.”
“We plan to invest in the continued growth of this operation as we add new customers and further expand our industrial safety services,” said Gordon Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Littelfuse.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
