48535 - Flexmod Liftgate Protector Series

FlexMod Electronic Liftgate Protector prevents damage to batteries and liftgate motor.

When the liftgate is actuated by an external switch, the Liftgate Protector checks the battery voltage. If the voltage is above the pre-set level, it enables the liftgate to work. The Liftgate Protector continues to monitor battery level, and if it falls, the unit will activate an external alarm (typically a blinking light or buzzer) when the operating switch is worked, and prevents activation of the liftgate until the battery level isk restored. An external override switch is available which permits one-time use, so that liftgate can be stowed.

When batteries are overdrawn, irreversible damage can be caused, and expensive batteries will have greatly reduced capacity or need to be replaced. Liftgate Protector prevents excess draw-down of batteries.
Liftgate motors are dependent on supplied voltage. When voltage falls, they draw higher and higher current which can readily cause burned out motors. Liftgate protector prevents motor burnout.
