CHICAGO, October 8, 2019 — Littelfuse, Inc., a global manufacturer of leading technologies in circuit protection, power control, and sensing, today announced the expansion of their TLS fuse family. This compact, current-limiting fuse rapidly opens to eliminate fault currents, making it ideal for circuit board designs with a small footprint.

As the electronic components increase on a circuit board and the footprint capacity becomes more limited, the TLS fuses’ ability to wedge into tight spaces is crucial,” according to Craig Greeson, product manager, Littelfuse Industrial Business Unit. “These small fuses operate up to 170 V DC, providing critical, current-limiting short-circuit protection for cables and components found in data centers and telecommunication systems.”

The TLS series features cartridge-, vertical-, leaded-, solder-type, and new bolt-in mounting configurations to meet unique requirements of switch or router circuit boards where space is at a premium. In addition, customized mounting options can be designed for qualifying orders.

Other features of this expanded line include:

  • Ampere Range: 1 – 125 amperes
  • Interrupting Rating: 100 kA
  • Approvals: UL Recognized (File: E71611)
  • Environmental: RoHS compliant, lead (Pb) free
