Surface mount high current jumper chips open, close, and protect circuits on printed circuit boards. The specialized metal foil current sense resistors perform similarly to resettable fuses, measuring and responding to increases and decreases of current flow. You often find them in computers and networking equipment. The jumper chips made by Littelfuse have high voltage ratings and maximum current ratings ranging from 8 A to 40 A.
