Bi Stable Latching Relays SD Series Characteristics

  • Eliminates the cost and weight of routing large copper cables to operator accessible locations through remote operation via small control wires  
  • Supports new USDOT 11579 requirements for hazardous material transportation vehicles (Section 7.C.12) 
  • Great choice for high continuous current passage, large engine starting needs and high ambient temperature  
  • Auxiliary Relay Contact for Alternator Field Disconnect (AFD) or for additional vehicle system control 
  • Dedicated 24 Hour output, thermally protected, for tachograph or other keep-alive functions  
  • Supports multiple E-stop OFF Switches  
  • Ignition protected to SAE J1171 and ISO 8846 for installation in a battery box or on vehicles carrying hazardous loads 
  • Fault-tolerant, closed-loop control system eliminates inadvertent OFF operation  
  • Bi-stable internal relay; 20mA continuous current
