The HD Series 32 V 300 A Heavy-Duty High-Current Electronically Controlled Magnetically Latching Bistable Relay (880160) is a remotely operated bistable relay disconnect designed for high-current circuits and applications that demand high performance, such as large inverter loads and high ambient temperature situations. Sealed to an IP67/IP69K rating, this heavy-duty automotive relay is built to withstand dust, water, and harsh weather, as well as environments with high shock and vibration.

The HD series bistable relay provides significant cost and weight benefits by eliminating the need to route heavy copper cables to more conveniently located mechanical-only disconnects. Cables can instead be routed directly to loads with the HD series relay positioned close to the battery or in line with the desired cable routing. The electronically controlled relay allows a single low-current signal to control the bistable relay. When the control line goes high (B+), the microprocessor in the relay turns on the bistable coil. When the line goes low, it turns the relay off. This feature allows a controller to turn the bistable battery disconnect on and off with a single input.

Features and Benefits

  • Rated for 32 VDC maximum voltage and up to 300 A continuous current
  • 24 VDC electronically controlled magnetically latched bistable coil
