eFuse

Technically an integrated circuit, an eFuse provides overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature, and inrush current protection to circuits and electronic components. An eFuse also has current-limiting characteristics and can transmit diagnostic data to automatic switches and users in real time. Thermal and overvoltage shutdown devices built into eFuses prevent downstream damage from faults. Designed to mount on the surface of printed circuit boards, eFuses can be found in network servers, data storage devices, docking stations, tablets, and computer cooling fan drives.
  • Available with a wide range of input voltages, from 2.7 V dc to 24 V dc
  • Maximum input and output voltages of 30 V dc
  • Available with 3 pins, 8 pins, 10 pins, or 16 pins
  • Certified lead-free and RoHS compliant
  • Low-profile designs (e.g., 2.9x2.9x0.7 mm) save space on PCBs
  • Internal soft start switch’s low on resistance minimizes power loss during start up and inrushes of current
  • Externally programmable current-limiting characteristics, overvoltage thresholds, and soft-start times
  • Optional fault indicators
