MIDI® automotive bolt-down fuses employ diffusion pill technology to provide predictable time-delayed overcurrent protection. Typical applications for these high-current fuses include protecting wires for fans, heaters, batteries, and starters that experience large inrushes of current. Note, however, that MIDI fuses with ampere ratings higher than 150 A should only be used to protect against short circuits.
