Hazardous Area Type Fuses

Hazardous area type fuses do exactly what their name suggests: they help create intrinsically safe circuits in hazardous environments like chemical plants, refineries, and other locations where explosive gases or dust may ignite due to current arcs or overheating from overcurrent events. Littelfuse PICO® and T-Plus® hazardous area fuses are especially effective for protecting flow meters and electronic processing equipment. Like other industrial fuses for hazardous environments, each fuse is UL 913-certified, meets ATEX and IECEx standards, and is designed for PCB mounting with lead-free solder.
  • Suitable for 277 V applications
  • Can work in ac and dc electrical systems
  • Minimum interrupting rating of 1500 A
  • Meet ATEX, IEC, and UL standards
  • Certified lead-free and RoHS compliant
  • Small size makes fuses suitable for surface mounting on PCBs
  • Encapsulated and sealed to protect fuse element from dust and moisture while minimizing risk of explosions from sparks
  • Capsule material bonds easily, reducing need for solder
  • Suitable for use in a range of Class I to Class III hazardous environments
