Automotive-Passenger-Car-Catalog
Use this catalog to choose fuses, shunts, diodes, and resistors for passenger vehicles. Includes "Fuseology," an introduction to fusing.
Integrated circuits (ICs) for HVAC, ABS, power steering, and body control systems in passenger vehicles require thermal overload protection. This need has grown as cars and trucks operate in ever-harsher environmental conditions. AEC-Q200–qualified High Current Reflowable Thermal Protectors (HCRTPs) from Littelfuse meet the demand. The compact thermal protection devices take their name from mounting on the surface of ICs via a secure reflow soldering process. Most importantly, HCRTPs typically open when the operating temperature exceeds 220 ℃, thereby protecting essential electrical components from thermal damage.
