LED lightning surge protection modules principally protect outdoor safety and commercial lighting from damage due to lightning strikes. Littelfuse offers several versions of these specialized surge suppressors, including one (LSP05GX) specifically for use in Europe. Each module meets or exceeds regulatory and industry standards while relying on thermally protected varistors to direct voltage surges to ground. Our overvoltage protection modules also include thermal disconnect devices to prevent fires when varistors fail from overheating. You will find our modules in traffic lights, tunnel lighting, and business signs.
