The surface mount monolithic varistor family of products offered by Littelfuse includes metal oxide varistors with solderable leads and MOVs without leads. Supplied in subminiature packages, each of these MOVs can provide protection against transient voltage surges continuously across ac lines and, as needed, to dc circuits. Varistors in the SM20 series are particularly well-suited to provide load dump protection in automotive applications.
- Maximum operating dc voltage ratings from 18 V dc to 900 V dc
- Maximum operating ac voltage ratings from 18.9 V ac to 510 V ac
- Off-state capacitance ratings as low as 45 pF
- RoHS compliant
- Compact, low-profile packages save space on printed circuit boards
- Withstand pulse currents up to 1.2 kA
- No derating at normal operating temperatures (e.g., below +65 ℃)
