Offering both symmetrical devices for applications with a reverse blocking requirement e.g. current sourced inverters and asymmetric blocking devices for applications where no reverse blocking requirement exists e.g. voltage sourced inverters. Gate Turn-off Thyristors are still the component of choice when it comes to very high power converters and we remain totally committed to this technology for the foreseeable future with an active program for continued product improvement.
