Rotary Position

Rotary position sensors see wide use in commercial and passenger vehicles as camshaft, crankshaft, pedal, and throttle position sensors. The magnetic sensors also monitor EGR flap valves in diesel exhaust gas recirculation systems. Rotary position sensors made by Littelfuse attach to moving parts. As magnets in the sensors rotate along with the parts, 2-D or 3-D Hall effect sensors output data on angles of rotation as voltages to control modules and black boxes. Our engineers consult with vehicle makers to custom design each sensor while also ensuring every device can withstand harsh operating conditions.
