Featuring a ceramic arc chamber that enables a high contact voltage capability, the DCNEVT400 Series 1800V 400A High-Voltage DC Contactor Relay is designed for electric vehicle (EV), hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), circuit protection, battery switch, and main power break applications. The contact chamber of this single-pole, single-throw (SPST), normally open (NO) contactor is hermetically sealed to protect all moving parts.

The DCNEVT400 Series electric vehicle contactor also features a coil economizer that reduces coil power and heating after the contactor is energized. Once the contactor is energized, it takes minimal coil power to keep the contacts closed due to pulse width modulation (PWM) reducing the average power delivered by pulsing the electrical signal.

This automotive relay has polarized contacts, so it performs optimally amidst polarized electrical loads.

A sealed wire control connector is included on all configurations of the DCNEVT400 Series EV contactor. Available configurations include models with 12V dc or 24V dc coil voltage ratings and models with or without an auxiliary circuit.
